We headed out to gardner village to see the famous witches with the Jorgensen cousins. Maxwell fell asleep as soon as we turned into the parking lot, and he actually stayed asleep for about 45 min. We had a blast. Kyler loved the witch flying on her bike over the pond and the witches that were making their witch's brew. When Max eventually woke up he was so happy and excited to be with Katelyn and Jacob. He loved the witches playing baseball. He is so into baseball right now. Kyler & Maxwell went on a pony ride and had such a great time. It was a fun afternoon out. My niece Katelyn is just starting to walk and I loved walking around with her and playing peek-a-boo with her. Jacob enjoyed playing cars with the boys on a picnic table. Thanks Dave for being so cool and crashing cars with my boys!

Happy Anniversry Mom & Dad
To Celebrate Quinn's Parents started the day off by attending their grandkids soccer games. They sat through snow and rain at Kayden's soccer game and then came out to Kyler's soccer game and again sat through snow and rain. It was freezing cold. Then dad came over to help Quinn try to fix our neighbors heater. They are always helping us out. Thanks Mamas and Papas for being so supportive. We love you and hope you have a Happy Anniversary.

Goooaaaallllll........

Kyler had a great soccer game today. He scored his first goal and then he scored again!!! He was so excied. It made the game so much fun for him and for us. Quinn has done a great job coaching him. I was worried that they would not listen to eachother but so far so good. I guess they share the same passion for soccer so that is a great bond they share. Congratulations Kyler!

Surprise!
Andrew & Megan came up form St. George to celebrate with us at the Cheesecake Factory! Mom & Dad were really surprised, which was really fun and what we wanted. Dinner was such a blast, even though Kim and I got our meals when every one else was finished. The boys were actually semi-good too. Thanks to all my siblings who helped to pull this fun evening off. After we went back to mom and dad's house and watched the video mom had put together for dad. It was pictures from the time they met until the present. What a treat! It was incredible mom! We had such a great time being together as a family this weekend.

Just a note... that morning Kyler had a soccer game we did not tell my parents what time it was at because Andrew & Megan were coming so we didn't want to spoil the surprise. So About 20 minutes after Andrew & Megan get there (they did get to play with max and see Kyler for a little bit) guess whose car i see pull up. Right, Mom & Dad's. So Andrew & Megan followed a crowd away from the game. I thought maybe they had been seen. But according to mom & dad they didn't see them at all. Mom & Dad watched the rest of the game with us, and Andrew & Megs watched it from behind a car a little ways away! Thanks guys for comming a supporting us!

Happy 30th Mom & Dad

Today is my parents 30th anniversary! We are so blessed to have them in our lives. Thank you mom & dad for all that you have done for us and that you continue to do for us. We hope you know that we love you so much and feel so grateful to have the best parents ever! You have taught us so well the importance of marriage and the importance of the gospel in our lives. We only hope to be able to do as well as you have done with our own family. We love you! Happy Anniversary!
Tomorrow we are taking them to the Cheesecake Factory with a little surprise for them too.

Maxwell's First Day of "School"

This morning while we were so excited getting Kyler ready for school Maxwell wanted to join into th efun to. He kept saying "mommy me go to school with kyler". I told him that he was going to have a special day with grandma while I took Kyler to school and his response was "ok, mom. I take my backpack too?" He was just fine as long as he could take his backpack. He put his things in there and he was ready to go. He looked so cute I had to get a picture of him. I am actually really looking forward to having mommy and max time during the week. He is such a silly little boy. He always makes me laugh and can always make me smile when I need it!
Kyler's First Day of Pre-School!

Today was Kyler's 1st day of school. He was so excited to go, especially since I got to go with him this first time. When we went into his classroom the first thing he saw was a place set up to dig for dinosuar bones. That was all it took for him to leave my side. His one-on-one teacher came over to meet him and then took him to show him around the school. I then went into a parents meeting and got really excited about this new adventure for Kyler. I was a little nervous as to how he would handle school, but I think he is ready.
I just can't believe that my Kyler is old enough for school. Even though it is only 2 days a week for 2 hours each day, it is strange to have him gone. This is a big step in our lives and I can't believe it is already here. When we were leaving Kyler looked on the door to find his name on one of the apples. He found it so quick and pointed to himself and I actually got a picture of it. This I am sure will be a favorite picture for many years to come!

The Healing Fields- take 2-

Yesterday we went to see the flags again this time with Aunt Tara & Katelyn and Dave & Jacob. The kids had such a great time racing through the flags and being outside together. It was so fun to watch Katelyn try to keep up with her cousins. She was on the move the whole time. It was fun for me to have some adult interaction with Tara and Dave. Thanks Tara for inviting us to come with you guys.
The Healing Fields

On Thursday night Quinn came home from work and wanted to take the kids to The Healing Fields down by Sandy City Hall. We knew the kids would love to see all of the flags and we knew it would help us to feel some comfort on such a life altering day. Seven years ago we had only been married for a few months when this tragedy took place and we were both getting ready for school when we turned on the Today Show to find that the first tower had been hit. Moments later I watched the second tower get hit and was stunned. Quinn came rushing in as I was almost screaming at him to come and see. I could not believe what we were watching.
I had been in those towers only 2 months before. I was fortunate to have been able to be there and see those magnificent buildings. All I could think about were how many people were probably there on vacation as I had been just months before. I felt so sick to my stomach and still to this day have such a prayer in my heart for those who were directly affected by this tragedy.

The Inevitable Happened
I guess I should have known it was comming. Just because I go back to work tomorrow and because I just can't have one child sick, I have to have both of them sick. Kyler woke up with a high fever and chills this morning. I guess no church for us today. He is very different from Max when he is sick. Kyler just wants me to hold him and be with him every minute. He is not as onery as Maxwell, but he is very demanding. Anyway, we are definately out of commsion for a while. We need to get healthy again!

Dragons First Game
Kyler was upset because he wanted to use this ball for the game ball.
Kyler had his first soccer game today! Quinn had his first game coaching! They both did great! It was so much fun to watch these little boys running all around. Kyler did really well but he lost his shoe a few times and had to come off for me to help him put it back on. He is the little one on his team the 3 other boys are 5 years old. But Kyler kept up with them. Tyler scored 6 goals and Kyler helped him get the ball in front of the goal a few times then Tyler would kick it in. Kyler was upset, of course, that he didn't score a goal, but he did really well. He can't wait for next week! So needless to say our SPORTS SATURDAYS have officially begun.
The boys had fun with Mamas & Papas there too. Max had someone to play soccer with. Thanks Papas! And I had someone to Cheer with me! Thanks Mamas!

My Maxwell is Sick Again
He threw up about 10 min. before I took this picture. At least we were outside on the grass! This was not his ball either. He was kicking it around ( I wouldn't let him pick it up) But I think the family saw how much he liked it so they gave it to him. He has that ball wherever he goes now!

We ended up taking Maxwell to the Dr. becaue he was complaining that his mouth hurt, his tummy hurt, his nose was runny and he had a high fever for 2 days straight. He has been so irritable that I have been going crazy. When he is sick he does not want to cuddle or be held. But at the same time he wants to be held. He is so uncomfortable he doesn't know what he wants. It is so frustrating. He is hungry too and just spits out the food becuase he can't swallow. Well he doesn't have step throat, but the Dr. said he has a lot of red and inflamed ulcers in the back of his throat. Yuck! He finally let me look at his mouth last night and ohh, does it look painful. The poor boy will have this for 5-7 more days the Doc. said. So we are on a diet of Popsicles and whatever else he will want to eat. I feel so bad that I can't help him out. He can have Tylenol & Motrin, and Chloroseptic spray( yeah like I can get that in a 2 year old mouth). So we are out of commision for a few days. Hopefully he will be more comfortable as the days go by.
On a positive note: becaue we have been home I painted Kyler's room by myself! Wahoo!

Soccer Finally!

Kyler had his first soccer practice tonight. And Quinn had his first coaching experience too. Kyler was so excited all day he kept asking me is it soccer time yet? When is dad coming home? When dad did finally get home Kyler was running all over the house and wouldn't get ready to go. What a silly boy. Quinn was a little nervous to be coaching, but he did a great job. There are 4 boys on the team; Tate, Taylor, Tyler, and Kyler. Try to keep that straight! They are cute boys and each are excited to be playing soccer. They decided on the name "Dragons" and that was after a coin toss. Here are a few pictures of the practice. They are not very good because Max decided to throw up as soon as Quinn started introductions, so we stayed away from the others.

Best Friends
I just love my two boys. They are becomming such good friends. If you ask Kyler who his Best Friend is he will say "Maxwell is". Maxwell will say that Kyler & mommy are his best friends. He is a mommy's boy. They are having so much fun playing together. Right now one of thier favorite things is to make guns out of blocks and go around the house or yard shooting eachother and falling to the ground. They are very dramatic about it too.
The other night I thought Kyler was in his bed asleep. I went into Maxwell's room to give him a kiss and this is what I found. Kyler had climbed into max's bed at some point and they both fell asleep together. It melted my heart. We decided to leave Kyler there ( this was before we knew Max was sick, hopefully Kyler stays healthy) and guess what??? Maxwell slept through the night!!! This is huge for him and me. I woke up at 6:30 all confused. I had actually gotten some sleep.
Maybe once Max is feeling better again we will do this sleepover thing more often!
