Joyschool for Maxwell!

Yeah, it is finally Max's turn to go to school. He has been so patient, but very eager for his turn to go to school. He was ready to go when Kyler left for school today. HE is such a bundle of energy and so much fun to be around. I am happy to see him so excited to learn and be a big boy. I just can't believe how fast he is growing up! THere are 5 kids in his little Joyschool, which means I only teach every 5 weeks, which is great. I will have 2 days a week to myself until November. I think I will take a nap during that time!

Kindergarten Here We Come

Kyler was so excited to go to school, but even more he was excited to ride the bus to school. There were no tears shed until the bus came and then he got a little nervous, but thanks to a couple of friends he got on. Quinn and I followed the bus and met up with him at school, where he told us how cool the bus ride was. I did shed a few tears myself, but I had to stay strong for my tender hearted Kyler!

Kyler and his friend Wyatt. They are in the same class and so excited to be together.

This is what he did his first day of school. He was so excited to tell me all about it. I am happy and surprised to say that I did not fall apart while he was at school. I just can't believe that he is in Kindergarten. He is growing up so fast and I am trying to enjoy each moment.

TEE-BALL!!

The Tee-ball season has begun and Ky and Max could not be happier. The night before their first game Quinn was in the backyard teaching the boys how to throw the ball to first and the boys got to take turns being at first base. Well at the first game Max was at pitcher and Ky was at shortstop. Max got the ball and he threw the ball to Kyler because that was what he heard the night before."throw the ball to Kyler". It was so darn cute and he was so proud of himself. Kyler is a champ on the team. He knows how the game is played and he wants to hit a home run! These boys are so much fun. I am excited to be spending the rest of my saturdays at the ball park!

Front Runner

Grandma and Grandpa Newton took the boys and I on the Front Runner. The boys had a blast. Of cousre they had their trains to play with on the journey and grandpa had them entertained the whole time. It was such a fun outing. We went up to Ogden and we went to the train museum and had lunch. Kyler and Maxwell were in heaven. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for such a fun day! After we went and visited Quinn at work and the boys got loaded up on candy thanks to the other attorneys and dad's secretary. They now ask to go see dad at work a lot. It was a fun and exhausting day!

Kyler's Graduation

This is really late but I have to post this big event. Kyler graduated from Preschool and it was such a great day! He was so excited to say his part and sing his songs for us. I was an emotional wreck and it was only preschool...but I am pregnant too. Kyler we are so proud of you and for all that you are learning and discovering each day! Preschool was a huge blessing in his life. His teachers Miss. Sadie and Miss. Michelle were amazing with Kyler. It truly was a great year!
For Graduation the kids wore caps and gowns and they even had tassles that has 09 on them that they got to keep. They walked in to the graduation march and sat on the stage. The program was wonderful and full of great laughs. Kyler said his part so well...he had practiced for a couple of weeks, and sang the songs great. As they received their diplomas the teacher read a little about each child. She talked about how much Kyler had grown this year from being this shy little boy into a talkative and helpful little boy. WHich is so true. He loved preschool and seeing his friends and teachers. After the diplomas they has a DVD of pictures from the year. Of course I was crying the whole time. It was wonderful. We even got a copy. Kyler's teachers even gave him a scrapbook they had made full of memories from the year. It was wonderful. Miss. Sadie gave him some hot wheels and a darling magnet board with magnets she made. Ky loves these gifts and tells everyone where they came from.
Kyler we are so proud of you! You are such a joy in our lives and we love you so much. Congrats!
Now onto Kindergarten!!

Kyler's Broken Foot

Kyler loves rough housing and playing around with his uncles. Well, this time,he was not being very rough and a weird landing on his foot put him into tears. He was playing with his uncle and landed funny on his foot, it swelled up and he didn't want to walk on it, but I wanted to wait and see what happened. THe next day he woke up and it was still very sore, but he started walking on it so I just let it be. We went swimming at grandma and grandpas, and by late afternoon, he was till in a lot of pain and walking on th einside of his foot. So I took him to the urgent care. I had him walk in and then when the nurse offered him a wheel chair he was so excited to not walk. I felt bad, that I had made him walk around, especially when the x-ray came back that it was broken. ( Mean Mom) Kyler was such a trooper though. He and I played a fun game with his hat while we waited for the doctor.

He has to wear this boot for 4-6 weeks. I am happy that that they didn't cast it, so that we can take it off to shower and I am sure to swim.

Wall Art

So I was sick one day and I had no energy left after a long day. I had the boys coloring with crayons and watching Mickey Mouse while I layed down for a little nap. Earlier that day I had labeled some things with a black sharpie and I had no idea that my boys had watched me put it away in a "hiding place". Well after a short rest I went downstairs and this is what I found. I couldn't believe my eyes, permanent marker all over my walls, I then followed the lines and found marker all over the couch, chairs, endtables, more walls, the floor and picture frames. All I could do was sit on the floor and cry. I had no idea where to start. Max went to his room and Kyler to his and they both felt bad...especially Kyler. I called my mom and she and my sister came to my rescue. I don't know how they did it but there is not a mark left on anything. Now we do not have any markers in the house right now and the boys are only allowed crayons. THanks mom and kimmy for your much needed help.

I knew this was Maxwell because he had just started drawing people, the cirlce with eyes, a mouth and arms and legs coming out of the circle. I was glad that i took a picture of thier art work before we washed it away.

Bowling!

We had such a blast bowling with the family. Andrew & Megan came into town and for Kimmy's birthday we went to Red Robin...the one place that Kyler will actually sit at the table and eat French Fries...And then we went Bowling at Karen Pullmans. Kyler and Maxwell Loved it. They both tied at the end with a score of 76. Of course they did have bumpers. Thanks Mom for such a fun night. We missed Dad he was out of town.

Frogs and Nauvoo

I saw this blog layout and it reminded me of a Newton Family trip to Nauvoo when I was a little girl. We were staying at a hotel ( I can't quite remember where in the mid west) and my cousins Cub, Chris, and Jake along with my brother Jeff found a ton of frogs oustide in the pool. They cought a few of them and as a present to the cleaning crew, they left them in the toilets, tubs, and I think even in the beds. Oh,boy the things we do as kids. I remember sneaking in after the parents had left the room and placing these frogs in the rooms. I did not touch a frog, but I do remember watching my cousins put them in toilets and other places. What a fun memory!

MIA

Sorry that I have been Missing In Action for so long. We are finally starting to feel better. I am finally feeling like I have some energy back. We all got sick right after New Years.(I'm sure due to all the late nights and family gatherings nightly.) Well we all ended up with pneumonia, nasty coughs, and major fatigue. Maxwell even got an ear infection. He was not sleeping very well at all, and then Thursday (9th) he told me that his ear hurt. I took him in and sure enough Ear infection. So we have been out of commission for a long time. Kyler got better pretty quickly, but still gets tired really fast. Anyhow- we are finally feeling better. I Hope that all of you are healthy, being sick id horrible.

Walking with Dinosaurs

Last Night Aunt Tara called to see if the boys would like to go to the Dinosaurs Live show at the ESA. Kyler & Maxwell were so excited. We got on the computer and went to the website so that they could be a little more prepared for the adventure they were going on. It just hyped them up even more. I don't think they stopped roaring like dinosaurs all night. Maxwell got a little nervous as it was time to go and mommy wasn't going with him, but he did ok once he saw Katelyn and her grandma Chrissy (whom my boys just love too) in the car. They left about 6:20 and I didn't know what to do. My house was quiet for the first time in who knows how long. I just layed on the couch and soaked in the silence. Later I went to Quinn's church ball game and actually had a good time since I wasn't chasing kiddos around. When we got home the boys pulled up right behind us. Great timing. They were so excited and so worn out. They both came in the house went upstairs put pjs on brushed teeth and went to bed. I was a little worried about some bad dreams, but neither of them had any. Unfortunately Maxwell still woke up coughing a few times, but hey I did have a little break.

Thanks Tara and Chris. The boys had such a good time. All they could talk about was the big T-REX. "It was so cool, mom!" ( I stole your picture too tara. thanks)

Snow Storm!

I was opening some snowman dishes that I recieved for my birthday from Tara, Jeff & Katelyn, and as I was placing them in my hutch I turned around and found the boys doing this with the styrofoam. I had to sit back and laugh as I let my kids have fun with this stuff. It made such a mess! But hey it was fun, even though Max decided to see if it tasted good.

New Years Eve

We started off the night saying goodbye to Andrew & megan. We sure had a blast having them home for the holidays. Kyler had a really hard time saying goodbye, it was so sweet.

Then we were off to the Gilberts for an evening of Rockband, soccer, treats, and a lot of fun. It was fun to be with the California group again. We missed the Aveys and their girls. When they are not around there are no girls. Crazy that we all have boys.

After the party at Gilberts we went to the Sperry's for Games and ringing in the new year. It was fun to have almost the whole family together. Vance and Shauna were in town with their kids. It has been a long time since we have seen them. It was a fun and crazy new years eve. Kyler and Max even made it to midnight.
