Kyler's in First Grade

What!! How is my Ky Ky going to go to school all day long?? What am I going to do at Lunchtime and Bakugan is not on the TV and there is not a bag of tortilla chips on the table? I guess we will see what happens. I am so excited for Kyler though. He has the best teacher this year. Mrs. Francom who was like my second mom growing up. I spent countless hours at her house with her daughter. I was thrilled when we found out Kyler was in her class. I knew he would be well taken care of.

Kyler had an orientation day on Monday 23rd, but his actual first day of First Grade was Tuesday 24th of August. (hence the two different outfits) I was able to go with him on Monday and meet Mrs. Francom and see his new classroom. It was so exciting to see where he was going to learn and be spending most of his days. Kyler was excited to see he has his own desk and that he gets his own cubby. I think I was most excited to find out that he gets to take a "sneaky" snack with him to eat during first recess. ( I am so worried about how he is going to survive on so little nutrition during the day) and when Mrs. Francom said they could bring Popcorn, Kyler got a HUGE smile on his face. At that point I knew he would be getting something in him before lunch. I just can't believe Ky will be in school all day long!! I am really going to miss having him around. I love you Kyler. Have a wonderful year.

Coleby 7 months

SO there is way to much to update but I do need to post a current picture of Coleby. He is growing up way too fast. This is the stage that I want to bottle up and keep forever. I wish he could stay 7 months for a while. Coleby is such a joy and such a good baby. He is a good sleeper and eater, which is huge for us! Some of Coleby's favorite things right now are
his blanket and the tag and binky
any toy with a tag,
He loves the car keys, bananas, oatmeal, mommy, daddy, his brothers and being right in the middle of what they are doing
He loves his own bed (which is good and bad, no more sleeping on the go!)
the bumbo, and saucer
Coleby is such a happy boy, and he brings such a spirit into our home, it is so hard to think of life with out him yet 7 months is not a lot of time with us. I am so happy to have him here and it is so fun to watch him and our other boys grow and discover everyday.

Secret Reader

In Kyler's class they have a secret reader come every week to read to the class. The kids don't know who is comming and they don't know when. When I got the sign up, I thought that Kyler would love to have Aunt Kimmy come and read to the class. For weeks Kyler would ask me if it was time for his secret reader and he would tell me that it was "taking so long for his secret reader to come". SO cute. Well the day finally came...It was so much fun. We came in the back of the classroom and Mrs. Hargrove ahd the kids on the rug and had them close their eyes. The secret reader(KimmY) walked to the front of the room and the kids opened their eyes. Kyler got a HUGE SMILE on his face. Mrs. Hargrove asked who knew this person and KYler's hand flew into the air. "It is KImmy!" he said. He then got to sit next to Kimmy on a stool while she read 2 of Kyler's favorite books. "How do Dinosaurs eat their food?" and "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom". It was so fun to see Kyler be so excited about showing Kimmy his classroom and intoducing her to his friends. THis was such a fun and special day! THanks Kimmy!!

Happy Easter!

We had such a great Easter morning! Kyler & Maxwell came running into our bedroom saying "the easter bunny came! We found the eggs and our baskets!" At least they didn't say that santa came this year. The boys got sunglasses in their baskets and had to wear them the rest of the day!

Sweet Liza Bee

The newest addition to the family is here. Liza Bee was born on March 14th. She was 9 lbs and 20 1/2 in. long. What a sweet bundle she is. Quinn and I were able to go over to the hospital to see the new family of 4 after church. It was so neat to go back to St. Marks because it was only 4 months ago we were there welcoming Coleby into the family. It felt like it was so long ago as we walked through those doors. My favorite thing at the hospital was being able to watch Katelyn be with her baby sister. What a wonderful bonding time that is. I missed that so bad having a baby during flu season kept the boys on the outside of the nursery looking at Coleby through the glass. Katelyn looked so big and so excited to have a baby sister. We are so excited to have a new niece and cousin!
Congratulations Jeff, Tara and Katelyn~

Curling

For Christmas this year we gave my dad curling lessons. Thanks to my sister Tara we got it all worked out to go the first weekend in February, since Andrew and Megan would be up from St. George. We have talked about going curling since the olympics were here in Salt Lake, so this was a big deal to finally pull it off. So curling looks like it is an easy game to play...It is quite the opposite. Sweeping is so tiring and requires skill, as I learned early on. I fell right on my tailbone the first time. IT hurt the rest of the night but I still had fun. In between my turn to throw the stone I was sitting on the ice. No need for an ice pack when you are on an ice rink! I have a new respect for professional curlers, it is not as easy as it looks.

Coleby's Blessing

What a special day! I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present than to have all my family and friends together celebrating our sweet Coleby's blessing. Quinn gave Coleby a beautiful blessing and Coleby was just an angel all day. It has been so much fun watching Coleby's personality come out. He is definately more calm and mellow than his older brothers and he puts up very well with Maxwell wanting to hold hom and "maul" him all the time. Kyler has been such a good helper and he loves to hold Coleby and sing to him. We are really enjoying Coleby.
This is Coleby's great grandma and grandpa Newton. Granddpa's first name is Joseph and is who Coleby Joseph is named after. We hope that Coleby will grow up to be as charitable and loving as grandpa is.

Coleby laying on his special blanket crocheted just for him by his great grandma Jorgensen. It is beautiful!
THis is the blanket before Coleby was born. I just didn't get a picture of great grandma & grandpa Jorgensen with Coleby and the blanket.

My friend Viv did these darling announcements for us. WE just love them. She took pictures of my 3 boys too and I can't wait to get them on my wall. After being so sick for several weeks after Colebys' birth and then Christams was here I feel like I m finally getting around to picking the pictures we want. SO I just wanted to post Colebys birth announcement. Hopefully there will be more blog updates to come soon.

Coleby Joseph Sperry

Our little bundle of joy arrived Tuesday, November 10th at 11:16 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz and 19in long. We were all in complete shock that he was not 9 lbs. A very pleasent surprise...especailly for mom. He is perfect and so far a very good sleeper. We hope that he keeps that up. We are so thrilled to have Coleby here and his brothers could not be happier. Max can not stop asking to hold his baby brother and Kyler just gives him loves and loves and more loves. Now we are home and real life with three kids begins. We feel so blessed to have Coleby in our home he is a true miracle.
Thanks to all our family and friends who have been and continue to be so supportive and helpful.

Here are some pictures and hopefully there will be more to come.

Kyler and Maxwell were so excited for baby Coleby to come home. It was the most precious moment to have our little family all together for the first time. The boys could not stop holding baby brother and they couldn't stop giving him loves. It was so wonderful. THey are already such big helpers and they are so happy to have a little brother.

Preschool Halloween Fieldtrip

For Maxwell's preschool we went to Engh gardens. They had so many fun things for the kids to explore and do. The pictures will tell all. Since Kyler was out of school, he was able to come along with us. That made Max really excited! They had a pirate ship that the kids could play on and pirate music playing it was "spooky". They had a hay stack maze that the kids could go through and so many fun skeletons and pirates around to find. Pumpkins were everywhere and it just felt like fall...except for the freezing cold temp. But we had a blast! It was fun to see Max so excited to be with his school friends and to have his big brother there to be apart of it. I just can't believe how old Maxwell is looking these days. I guess he is going to be a big brother soon enough. Thanks Joyschool friends for such a fun fieldtrip!

Kindergarten Halloween

This year I was able to help in Kyler's class for the Halloween party. It was so much fun. His teacher is so great. She was dressed up as a bumblebee. While the kids were waiting for the parade to begin she had them sing this cute halloween song and each child got to stand up and say what they were dressed as. It was so cute and so much fun for the kids. Max came with me and he had a great time too. Grandma J. came to watch the parade with us. It is so fun that the school is so close to grandma and grandpa's house.

This was a fun game we played called pass the pumpkin. When the music stopped the kids with the pumpkins were out, but they got a prize when they got out. It was fun and guess who won the game...Kyler was the last one standing! Way to go KY!

Jorgensen "Spooky" Halloween Party

My grandparents are the best at getting the family together for hollidays abd birthdays. Every year you can bet there will be a halloween party. This year it was so fun to watch all the kiddos running around in thier cosstumes trying to stay away from grandpa Jorgensen who was dressed like an alien. Max was a little concerned about that. Grnadma was dressed and the bad wolf and had the older grandsons parade around in scary monster costumes. I thought for sure Kyler & Max would have nightmares, but they seemed ok. Dinner was pizza with spiders, and salad with eyeballs, and pumpkin pie. It was delicious!
The kids got to decorate pumpkins and had a blast playing together. No one wanted to go home, but it was a school night. THanks grnadma & grandpa for such a fun night!
