We took our friends the Quick Girls to see my Grandparents Christmas tree. The girls were spending the night at our house and we thought that going there would be a fun adventure for them. And it was. My grandparents christmas tree is no ordinary tree. It is huge. and not only is the tree decorated to the hilt, there is an ivory snow village underneath that is amazing. There is nothing like it. The kids had a great time. And it was fun to visit with grandma and grandpa while were there.

Wilkey Family Party
Every year the first Saturday in December is the Wilkey Family Christmas Party. It is fun to have it right at the beginning of the month to get in the Holiday Spirit. We have dinner and we play a great white elephant game and then a special visitor comes with gifts for the younger kids. It is down in Nephi where Quinn's mom grew up, so we have to plan for a drive to get there, but we always have a good time. This year we missed dinner thanks to an accident on the freeway so we picked up wendys and got there just in time for the white elephant gift game. Ky and Max had a great time rolling the die and running around getting more and more presents. The Highlight however was of course Santa. Kyler couldn't wait to tell him what he wanted...a hot wheels crusher. And Max even sat on his lap and told Santa he wanted SPEED RACERS! No surprise there. They each got to open a gift too. They got Speed Racer cars. Ky was a little disappointed at first because it wasn't the crusher but he eventually was thrilled with his cars for the race track.

The Tree Hunt
Yes, the day has come, the anual Jorgensen family tree hunt. We go and cut our Christmas Trees down every year. This year we had to travel 30 miles west of Wendover but we still did it. It actually is a fun tradition and the kids have a great time roaming the mountain to find the perfect tree. Here are some pictures of the days events.

Turkey Day
Thanksgiving this year was crazy just like every other year. The boys and I watched the Macy's Parade and had a blast running around the house together while dad was out playing football. We then began our trek to the Sperry's, the Jorgensen Grandparents, and the Newton Grandparents. By the end of the night we were tired and still had to get ready for the "Tree Hunt" the next morning. I also had to make a stop at Michaels arts and crafts to pick up a couple of cricut cartridges that were on sale!
We had a great time sharing the day with family and eating a ton of food. I love to spend time with family and I love seeing my boys play around with their cousins it is great to have so much family around to spend time with. I was not good with pictures this year so here are just a few of the boys playing in grandpa Jorgensens chair.

The Move
We were able to go to St. George to help Uncle Andrew and Aunt May May move into their new place. The boys were so excited that they were going to be sleeping at their house, they could hardly wait. They did pretty well on the drive and they were even big helpers during the move. We had a great time together. Andrew and Megs new place is so awesome. We even got all the pictures and decor up over the weekend. Thanks for letting us drive you guys crazy for a few days. We definitely come with lots of noise these days! I know we will be visiting you guys again.
I didn't get many still pictures. Kyler took some, I had the video camera. So I am waiting to get pictures from Kimmy and then I will post some more!

Real Soccer Game
We were able to get tickets to the real playoff game for Saturday November 15. We decided to just take Kyler since it would be so cold and Max would not really enjoy that part of things. So we left Max with grandma and took Ky. This was the first time we had been in the new Stadium and it was a playoff game so it was exciting. Even though it was cold we had a great time. Ky loved being with his dad and talking soccer lingo with him. It has been a real treat to watch their relationship grow. We had great seats by the north goal and every time people would stand up Kyler would say "Dad pick me up so I can see" it was really cute!
Anyway we had a great time with our Kyler. I am so proud of him and so pleased with all the progress he is making right now. He loves school and he loves to learn. I only wish he loved to eat! Oh well that will come eventually. You are a great joy in our lives Kyler and we had a great time with you tonight! Lots of Love.

From Leaves to Snow
On Saturday we spent most of the day outside enjoying the beautiful weather. It was Kyler's last soccer game of the fall season and he did great! He scored a goal! The Dragons had a great season and I am so proud of Quinn for all he did for these kiddos. I am especially proud of him for his patience with Kyler. They both love soccer and I think this experience has brought them closer together.
After the game we came home and raked A Lot of leaves. We have such a fun yard with big trees and that means lots of leaves. Quinn made forts for the boys to play in and we all had a leaf war. It was so much fun and it was so beautiful outside. Then comes Wednesday morning...SNOW!! So much snow that we could not stay inside we had to go out and build snowmen, have snowball fights and make snow angels. Poor Maxwell started to freeze but he didn't want to go inside. Kyler loved getting me with his snowballs. He thought it was so funny that he could hit me, but I always missed him. hahaha. So it was a quick change from fall to winter. But we enjoyed them both.
Halloween
Halloween was a blast around our house this year. Kyler and Maxwell both decided what they wanted to dress up as this year and they were adamit about it as well.
We would ask Maxwell: "Are you going to be Thomas the train for Halloween?"
He would relply very sternly: "No, SPEED RACER!!"
Kyler had decided early on that he wanted to be Batman. I don't know where that came from since he has never seen a batman show, but that was what he wanted.
We had a Jorgensen Family Halloween party, where the kids hunted for their pumpkins and then got to decorate them with the foam stickers. I am such a fan of that! They had a blast.

Kyler had a Halloween Party at school. And after that party he asked me if Halloween was over yet so that it could be Christmas time. So silly. We still had a couple of days until Halloween. On Halloween we went to my work for thier Halloween festivites where the boys decorated cookies and played some fun games and sang some fun songs. We then visited the great-grandparents, which is always fun and exciting. This year since it was so nice outside the kids played around in Grandma and Grandpa Newtons Backyard like we used to do as kids. Finding all the trails in the mountains and playing around in the leaves. It was a fun but tiring day and the night had not begun.

We went to my mom's wards' Primary Trick-or-treat count down party that was a blast. I will do this with them every year. They had food and games and best was the count down to trick-or-treating. We were done with my parents neighborhood by 6pm. It was awesome. The best part of that was the arrival of Andrew and Megan who surprised us by coming up from St. George for a visit. We did not stop trick-or-treating there though. We had to go to our own neighborhood and then to a few others before we could end the night at Mamas and Papas house. We were all spent by the end. But what a fun holiday!

The next morning Kyler woke up and said "Mom is Halloween really over"
"Yes Ky it really is"; "Yeah, that means Santa can come now"
I think this boy is excited for Santa to come.

Kyler Update
I am so sorry for not posting an update on Kyler.(Thanks Jenni for the extra push to sit down and blog) He was a trooper again when he got his stitches out. The Dr. decided it was best to give him a tetanus shot too and I decided to get his flu shot done then too ( I did decide to have the nurse give him the mist flu vaccine so that he wasn't too upset with me). Poor kid had it all coming. He did great though. He is going to have a scar but we are rubbing vitamin E on it all the time to hopefully keep it from being too bad. I always have it with me and every few hours am rubbing it on Kyler's face. Once again poor kid.
Anyway- Thank you all for your comments and support. I know things could have been a lot worse, but it was still quite the experience for us. Kyler still wants a red dog, but a nice one that doesn't bite. He is a little more cautious around dogs, but so far he is not too scared of them. That is good.

Camping...and Dog bite...and Happy Birthday Mamas
We headed out Friday morning to go Camping/hunting with Quinn's Family. Quinn and I have not been since before Kyler was born. We thought it would be fun for the boys to be up in the mountains, fish and sleep in the trailer. When we got to camp the first thing we did was go fishing. Quinn caught a fish in the stream right by our camp, and the boys thought it was so cool. We then went to a "better" place to fish and Quinn caught 18+ fish.

That night was freezing!! The boys did well though. Max only stirred a few times and I just had to recover him. Kyler woke up 3-4 times freezing because he kept kicking his covers off. We survived though. Quinn went hunting early in the morning with his dad and 2 brothers, while my boys and I stayed back at camp with my mother in law Kaye. It was her birthday so the boys and I sang to her when she got up. She was happy to hear that. The boys gave her a big hug and went outside to play. We were planning to go to the Freemont Indian Museum and were busy getting ready. The boys went to get in the car I went into the trailer to get my purse and a few seconds later I heard Kyler crying. I run out to find him holding his cheek and blood running down his face. My brother-in-laws dog bit Kyler's cheek. I knew it was bad and yelled for Kaye to come out. I picked up my boy and we got Max in his car seat. We needed a hospital and we were in the midlle of nowhere. I had not had reception on my phone at all but I pulled it out any way and by some miracle I got a hold of my mom. She looked on line to tell us where to go in Richfield. I held Kyler in my arms with a wet rag on his face. My mother-in-law is the best. She drove 95 all the way and we still didn't feel like it was fast enough. She said "If we get pulled over I am just going to ask for an escort to the hopital, we are not slowing down." She is so great. On the way I talked to my Grandpa Newton who calmed me down a lot and told me the questions to ask at the ER.
We got to the Hospital in Richfield and after checking in and having to report the dog. We were seen by a very calm Dr. He was great and was upfront with me. He said we could go see a Plastic Surgeon, but we would just be paying a lot more $$ for the same care. I felt good about stiching him up here. Kyler laid on the bed so still. He was so good. He was in shock I am sure. He didn't even move when they gave him 2 shots right by the bite. Then he continued to hold incredibly still while the Dr. put 7 stiches into his cheek. Everyone in the hospital came in to see this 4 year old boy who was holding so still. The Dr. said he has never had a patient hold so still not even adults. Everyone there, even the Sheriff, who had to get involved in order for Kyler to receive care, was telling him how brave he was and how amazing he was. I was the one having a hard time...not a surprise. I almost passed out, but that is normal for me. When we left the ER Kyler was loaded up with goodies. A stuffed animal, ("a nice dog") Spiderman bandaids, cookies, crayons to color his own stickers with, and a sherifs badge. He at least gave us a smile then.

The Dog Bite after being cleaned up

After the Stitches
I thought this ordeal was over, but I was wrong. The Sheriff had to follow us back to camp...we drove a little slower going back, to check the dog out. First we needed to get a perscription filled for Kyler (that took forever). When we got back to camp the guys had returned from hunting and found our note. My brother-in-law was furious and took his dog up in the moutains. We pulled up to see my father-in-law with a shovel in his hands and I started to scream. I guess you can guess what happened. I am having a hard time because Kyler understands what happened too. I feel like my nephews lost thier dog because of me. Everything got squared away with the sheriff and I was a wreck for the rest of the night. We ended up having to tell my sister-in-law and nephews what happened and that was terrible. I am still struggling with what happened this weekend. I hate that the few seconds I left my kids my child got hurt.
I am sorry this is long but this is also my journal entry of what happened.

Grandpa J.'s Birthday
We hope you have a great birthday dad! Today we called grandpa on the phone to sing to him. As soon as grandpa picked up...yes he actually answered the phone...Max started to cry but Kyler sang really well. He was so excited to sing to grandpa. After Max was upset that he didn't get to sing to grandpa too. Oh well. We love you grandpa. Happy Birthday!

Fun at Gardner Village
We headed out to gardner village to see the famous witches with the Jorgensen cousins. Maxwell fell asleep as soon as we turned into the parking lot, and he actually stayed asleep for about 45 min. We had a blast. Kyler loved the witch flying on her bike over the pond and the witches that were making their witch's brew. When Max eventually woke up he was so happy and excited to be with Katelyn and Jacob. He loved the witches playing baseball. He is so into baseball right now. Kyler & Maxwell went on a pony ride and had such a great time. It was a fun afternoon out. My niece Katelyn is just starting to walk and I loved walking around with her and playing peek-a-boo with her. Jacob enjoyed playing cars with the boys on a picnic table. Thanks Dave for being so cool and crashing cars with my boys!

Happy Anniversry Mom & Dad
To Celebrate Quinn's Parents started the day off by attending their grandkids soccer games. They sat through snow and rain at Kayden's soccer game and then came out to Kyler's soccer game and again sat through snow and rain. It was freezing cold. Then dad came over to help Quinn try to fix our neighbors heater. They are always helping us out. Thanks Mamas and Papas for being so supportive. We love you and hope you have a Happy Anniversary.
